When are your worship services?
We have two identical worship services on Sunday at 9:30am and 11:00am. Just pick the one that is most convenient for you. Each service features excellent programs for children from birth through 5th grade. Students 6th through 12th grade come to these services and return at 5:30pm for their worship and small groups. We recommend you arrive approximately 20 minutes before the service so you won’t feel rushed.
How do I get to Willow Ridge Church?
Willow Ridge is located on Highway 1 between Lexington and West Columbia minutes off Interstate 20 or Interstate 26. If you’re coming down I-20 take exit 58 towards Columbia or coming from I-26 take exit 111 towards Lexington. We are located at 104 Sycamore Tree Road, Lexington 29073.
What can I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll be made to feel at home. One of our greeters will greet you at the circle. The first building you come to on your right is our Kid’s Building. Inside you will discover rooms that were created with kids in mind.
Continuing down the walk you will come to the auditorium. Once inside, continue down the hallway to the worship center. At any time during your visit, if you have a question, look for one of our Welcome Team members with the Big Green badge with a question mark on it. They would love to talk with you and assist you in any way.
If you’re leaving the first service or coming in for the second, please take time out for some coffee and a snack so that you can mingle with others. A wonderful atmosphere is present in between the two services.
What is a worship service like?
Whether it is your first time at Willow Ridge or you’ve been attending for years, you will be drawn in to the singing and the teaching of God’s word. From the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave, we are committed to a creative, compelling, challenging presentation of God’s truth.
Our pastors communicate in a way that speaks to today’s culture. Their in-depth look into God’s word will reveal truths that maybe you have read before. Throughout their teaching they will challenge you to apply Christ’s teachings to your life. In the music you will capture the idea of “worshipping in Spirit and in truth.” The music is relevant and will lead in preparing your heart for what God has in store for you.
Where do I take my children?
The first building that you will come to is our Children and Youth building. This building was built and designed with children in mind. As you enter, you will need to check your child in at the welcome desk. You can be confident that while you worship your child is getting the love and care you would expect. Your child will experience and learn from the truth of God’s word.
The safety of children is high on our priority list. That is why we require all volunteers that serve in our children and youth ministries to go through a background check process.
Do you have something for students?
We sure do. We encourage students 6th to 12th grade to worship with their family Sunday morning and come back Sunday night for Student Worship and Small Groups which meet at 5:30pm in the auditorium of the main building.
The worship and small group experience is designed especially for students. The experience is fun, creative and centered on the truths of God. The music is lead by our student praise band.
